Winter Food Offerings:  Our season does not end with the first frost, but rather that first frost sweetens many of the delicious produce we carry throughout the winter, from broccoli to spinach to jerusalem artichokes. Only when everything is completely frozen do we not harvest. Spanish Tapas – Midwestern Style

Saturday, Feb 4th - 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.   $40

Nothing defines a culture more than it’s cuisine.  This is particularly true of Spanish cuisine, where the practice of eating a wide variety of appetizers, or tapas, for a meal is familiar across the globe.  Join Laura in the kitchen to learn to make local and seasonally inspired tapas of your own!  Make a classic Tortilla Espanola served with romesco sauce, as well as fried calamari, and pisto, a vegetable stew.

The class will be held in the Meshewa Farm kitchen, next door to Turner Farm at 7550 Given Road. Cost is $40.  Sign up on the cooking classes tab of www.dandelionchef.com. Email laura@dandelionchef.com with any questions.

Join Melinda for basic gardening classes that will leave you ready to start your own garden!  Sign up for either one or both:

- Seed Starting – Tues. 2/7, 6:30-8:30 p.m.

- Soils and Compost – Tues. 2/21, 6:30-8:30 p.m.

 All classes are $12 each and registration is required. Vegetable or Meat CSA members are $6/class.  Call, e-mail, or drop a check in the money box with your class selection noted.
